The Old Library, home to the Book of Kells and iconic Long Room, stands as one of Ireland’s national treasures,
attracting over one million visitors annually. However, due to pressing conservation needs, it underwent redevelopment, creating a gap in Trinity College’s tourist offerings.

In response, the team collaborated with Trinity College to deliver an Exhibition Strategy and Concepts, as well as a Feasibility Study for an interim exhibition, ensuring visitor interest and financial viability during the redevelopment phase.

The final solution is a purpose-built temporary structure that transforms into an immersive experience, capturing the spirit and significance of the Old Library. It uses state-of-the-art technology, light and sound to animate the Book of Kells, while historical figures like Jonathan Swift and Rosalind Franklin engage in conversation.
