Lucie Branczik

Lucie brings 20 years of experience conceiving, developing, and delivering cultural destinations across the UK, Europe, Russia and the Middle East. Her expertise spans cultural strategy, interpretive planning, masterplanning, and creative direction, with particular focus on research, benchmarking, brief and strategy writing, and stakeholder engagement. She develops transformative cultural experiences that engage communities and revitalise places.

In 2024, she defined museum and gallery assets for NEOM and worked with FTI Delta to deliver the vision, benchmarking and business case for a cultural venue on KSA's The Line. For the award-winning Oman Across Ages Museum, she authored the comprehensive masterplan and architectural brief, oversaw the international architectural competition for Royal Court Affairs, and coordinated the development of its 9,000sqm of exhibitions.

At urban design firm Publica, Lucie led the ambitious 15-year Cultural Strategy for London Borough of Newham ‘to drive investment, inclusive participation, and wellbeing through culture’. She coordinated cultural activation for London's Oxford Street District and established the company's Social Value Programme, reflecting her belief in the transformative power of culture.

Before earning her MBA at Imperial College Business School in 2019, Lucie spent 13 years at leading exhibition design agency Event, where she directed transformative projects including A View from the Shard, Ireland's International Rugby Experience and the Dutch Maritime Museum. Her portfolio includes masterplans for cultural attractions like Izhevsk's Waterfront Cultural Quarter in Russia, Eden Project Qingdao, and Bletchley Park, as well as urban regeneration projects like the Low Line and Mercato Metropolitano, London.

In the arts sector, she collaborated with the Van Gogh Museum to create the award-winning immersive touring exhibition Meet Vincent Experience, which has reached audiences across Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

She led preliminary studies for Moscow's Oriental Art Museum and spearheaded the development of Wales's pioneering National Contemporary Art Gallery, which launched in 2024. This transformative project represents a significant milestone in Welsh cultural infrastructure, creating a distributed network of galleries that dramatically improves access to contemporary art across Wales. The initiative not only enhances the visibility of Welsh artists but also serves as a catalyst for creative sector growth, community engagement, and cultural tourism throughout the region.

Her experience includes partnerships with centres of excellence like the Royal Institution of Great Britain and University of St. Petersburg, as well as significant projects such as Gazprom's Lahkta Science Centre and the home of Concorde at Aerospace Bristol. She directed the world's largest exhibition on the future of cities at The Crystal with Siemens. Lucie excels at working with stakeholders across all project stages to transform ambitious cultural visions into reality.

“Lucie led the development of a Feasibility Study for the Welsh Government on a proposed National Gallery of Contemporary Art. As part of this project, she closely worked with us at Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales together with other partners in Wales. The resulting report, published in 2018, is one of the best, in terms of depth of research, rigour of analysis and quality of recommendations, that I have seen. It sets a standard that few could match.”
